(No Floyd He is more than two weight classes below you)
Juan Manuel Marquez is facing an uphill battle in the form of pound for pound king of the sport Floyd Mayweather Jr. Fighting for the first time at 144lbs against Floyd Mayweather should undoubtedly be the toughest test of his career. Unlike Floyd, Juan-Ma has never been as selective in choosing his opponents. He has gone the distance with some of the best in the world and usually comes out on top. He has had two epic battles with Manny Pacquiao, fights in which one could argue he won, and Marquez again showed his heart and will to win against Joel Casamayor, and Juan Diaz. Juan-Ma has a special place in my heart because of the way he fights, his willingness to face the best the sport has to offer, and also because he hails from the same place ,Mexico City, that my Grandfather was born and raised. Given that information, I still can't bring my mind to pick him to overcome the riddle that is Floyd Mayweather Jr. I see this fight going the way of the De La Hoya-Mayweather fight in that Juan-Ma will be the aggressor and have some success until Floyd gets his speed and accurate shots landing. If the accuracy and power of a naturally bigger man's punching can't put Marquez out for the KO/TKO then it will be a UD for Floyd Mayweather Jr. leaving his record unblemished, yet with an asterisk next to it until he chooses to fight someone his own size and truly cement his legacy amongst the legends of the sport.
