James Toney, Andre Ward, Mikkel Kessler and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. all won by knockout this weekend. Their fights only lasted a combined total of 10 rounds, that is two rounds less then a championship fight. James "lights out" Toney looked lean and mean tipping the scales at only 217.5 the lowest weight of his career since he fought Evander Holyfeild. It only took James two rounds to dispatch Matthew Greer. Even though he was fighting lesser opposition he looked quick and sharp. If he can stay in shape he is gonna be a problem in the heavyweight division. Shelby Pudwell only lasted three rounds against "Super-Six" tournament contender Andre Ward. Ward looked very good and I cant wait to see him in action against Mikkel Kessler in the "Super-Six" tournament. People say his youth and lack of experience could harm him in the 6 man tournament but I think it may be his strongest asset. His opponent he will be fighting in November in the tournament Mikkel Kessler used his viking strength and crushed Gusmyr Perdomo. He is the top-rated super middle weight and probably the favorite to win the tournament and you can see why. This win for him sets up an exciting fight with Ward in November. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. quite possibly made the most dominant statement with his first round KO of Jason LeHoullier. He needed to make a statement and he did in devastating fashion. The card was called "Latin Fury' and that's just what they got from a son of a legend. So this weekend provided highlight reel knock outs, I can only dream of what is going to happen next weekend.
