DUMBOUT MMA FIGHT OF THE YEAR

This year we have had many great fights and lots of talented fighters laying it all out on the line. In my opinion two of the most exciting lightweights in the game went for broke and delivered the fight of the year at Strikeforce Evolution. Josh Thomson vs. Gilbert Melendez II to unify the lightweight titles with Melendez holding the interim belt. Melendez lost the initial contest on points, but Melendez was ready for the man to hand him his second loss as a professional and take his 155 title. There were lots of great fights this year, but this one sticks out in my mind the most, and not just because it just happened. I am looking forward to the third standoff between these two champs.
