Last night at the Civic Arena in Glendale California Roman Karmazin proved he was MADE IN HELL. Dionisio Miranda proved to be a tough opponent for Karmazin and was leading on my card until he was knocked out. When Dionisio was throwing his jab he was able to score and avoid Karmazin's counter left, heavy offense. It was a back and forth fight with both men having their moments. It seemed that Miranda was landing the harder, cleaner, more effective blows for most of the fight. Miranda was able to land power shots behind his jab and knocked down Karmazin in the 9Th round. Going into the 10Th it seemed that Miranda was ahead and it would just be a matter of time before he was victorious. Karmazin had other plans though and he came out in the 10Th with a fire under his ass so hot it had to be from hell. He attracted Miranda and was able to knock down and hurt his man in the round. When Miranda got up you could see he was truly hurt and Karmazin was not about to let him off the hook. Karmazin flurried and finished his opponent at the 2:34 mark of the 10Th round to put an emphatic finish to a great fight. Before the fight Karmazin said this fight would determine if he would continue with his boxing career. I hope he can stay busy and maybe get one last chance at putting some gold around his waste. This fight was part of an IBF title eliminator so he should get a crack at this title. Sebastian Sylvester is good but I think that with Freddy Roach in his corner and the fight he showed, Romin has enough left in the tank to at least make a fight out of it. FRIDAY NIGHT FIGHTS was fun and a great way to start the year off.
