Strikeforce Miami: Line Up Finalized, Lashely vs Sims Set

Over the weekend Strikeforce confirmed that a rumored bout between opponent-less Bobby Lashley and UFC/TUF veteran Wes Sims at Strikeforce Miami this Saturday January, 30. The fight should be Lashley's toughest test to date as Sims has over 30 pro fights to his credit. Should the hulking pro-Wrestler get past Wes in impressive fashion, it would really mark his arrival onto the world's stage as a credible Heavyweight threat. Not to say that he'll be ready for Fedor or anything, but he will be ready for some of the higher tier heavies. Aside from that little hiccup on the Ultimate Fighter where he was chocked out, Sims is on a three fight win-streak professionally. Wes Sims is not one who seems to get intimidated by his opponents so it should be a good fight and good measuring stick to see where Lashley has progressed to as a Mixed Martial Artist. The full fight card is listed below:

  • Nick Diaz vs. Marius Zaromskis (for vacant welterweight title)
  • Champ Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos vs. Marloes Coenen (for women's featherweight title)
  • Robbie Lawler vs. Melvin Manhoef
