A RESPONSE TO THE HAYE BANDWAGON

I would love to see David Haye unify the titles but he wont, I just don't see that happening. Here are some of the reasons. Once again this is just my opinion so if you don't like it too bad, write a retort. Like I said I might eat my words and when that time comes we will see. Every one is on the Haye bandwagon, it will take me a lot more to crown him the best in the division.

People who say his chin isn't made of glass should look at the facts.
KOed by Carl Thompson
Knocked down by Monte Barrett who can punch
Knocked down by Jean Marc Mormeck

Who called out David Haye? Bernard Hopkins, Tomasz Adamek, James Toney, Vitali Klitschko, Wladimir Klitschko, Audley Harrison, Chris Arreola

Wladimir Klitschko called him out before the Ruiz fight after Haye already backed out of a contract with him.

"I would prefer to fight him in a soccer arena but I would fight him in a car parking lot if necessary."

Tomasz Adamek called him out after Haye won the WBA belt.

“You call yourself the best heavyweight fighter in the world after running scared for the whole fight with Nikolai Valuev? It’s not even funny.”
"Talking is cheap, People don't care how big you are during the press conferences. They want to see a man in the ring. I never say too much before my fights and my opponents are not saying a lot afterwords because they are knocked down. You say you want to be a people's champion. If so fight me . That's what the people want."

James Toney called him out when he said he was going to fight at heavyweight. Not even a response from the fearless Haye, people say never duck anyone.

"David Haye is a comedian. Is he scared of an old, fat, short guy? He has done nothing to even deserve a fight Wladimir Klitschko. He won the cruiserweight title by beating an old guy and a guy who can't fight.
"If he got the balls, let's sign a contract and do this. My record is proven. Come and try to beat me. All golden boy has to do is call Dan."
"As terrible as Klitschko is he will beat Haye. Haye has no chin and no heart. He proved that against Carl Tompson years ago. Things don't change. He is a typical Euro and British fighter. They get fed a bunch of bums and come over here and don't want to fight a good fighter. I will destroy David Haye. He will never fight again. Every fighter I fight I ruin them. They are never the same again."

Going after the Klits? He had 2 chances to fight both of them and he backed out like little child. A made up back injury, and he pulled out of the other fight to fight the slow lumbering giant, great move. People love to talk trash about the Klitschko brother but they have fought everyone in the heavyweight division. They have beaten every challenger that has stepped up as of late.
Who did he get his belt from? How is that cleaning out the division?
Enzo was no good, in the first place. who did Enzo beat?
He got his WBO belt after Johnny Nelson retired.Wow, good call on Enzo he was a paper champ.
Jean Marc Mormeck was good guy but old, and he got knocked down by him in that fight not so much total domination. The title he got from the Russian is also suspect. Valuev won that title on 2 bad decisions from Jon Ruiz. Ruiz was a paper champ because he won that title when it was vacant. Roy Jones gave up that belt so he never really won it. Yea he beat Valuev who beat Ruiz who beat no one.

Haye never fought for the IBF title (Steve Cunningham) won that title in May of 2007, Haye instead of fighting Cunningham a more superior boxer, he fought for the PRESTIGIOUS WBO title against Enzo after he beat Mormeck in 07.
He was in the division for years when he could have fought Adamek, and Cunningham.
He would lose to the top 2 guys in the cruiser weight division right now, Steve Cunningham, who he wouldn't fight , and Krzysztof Wlodarczyk.

Lol. So fucking true, I agree with everything you just said. Haye is an over-blown pussy. He needs to get knocked the fuck out pronto. Sure, he's got some power, but defensively, hes just a pussy who runs around with his footwork, if he were ever to fight a klitschko, all they would have to do, is be a little more aggressive than usual and hit him with one solid right hand. He would be lost, he's never faced anyone who's been a serious aggressor and who has a distinct height advantage. The funniest thing about Haye, are is fans. They are a true depiction of someone who should have stayed in school, and who should go back to supporting soccer not boxing. As far as I'm concerned, he is a disgrace to boxing in how he carry's on out side and inside the ring.

Are you two clowns having a laugh! He's added a bit of excitement to the heavyweight division, something that's been badly lacking for years. His 'glass jaw' is what makes him so exciting to watch, and will make a fight with either Klitchscko great entertainment! Why should Haye fight James Toney?? What does he have that Haye needs? Adamek - that'll really pull the PPV crowds!

Jean Marc Mormeck was far and away the best in the division until Haye knowcked him out (and the towel in the corner made his knock down of Haye look worse than it was).

Hopefully Valuev accepts some money to step aside and let's get the big fight on....it'll make a change from the Klitchko's fighting fat, slow, defensive fighters in the worlds most boring fights!

Sorry second poster but I take it you're from the UK and typically of the UK you dont know anything of whats going on outside the UK. Adamek has a bigger following outside of his home country than Haye does. Poles have one of the biggest number of migrants in the world and if all were to return to Poland their population would be huge. So PPV with Adamek would be a very lucrative deal especially considering the huge amount of non Polish fans he has that follow him because he is a true Boxer not a businessman or runner in the ring, true boxing fans love his aggressive style and the fact that he does his talkin in the ring and he fights almost twice as often as Haye does. I know for a fact that in America alone he has much more respect from the Boxing community and fanbase than Haye does.

Good points. It may just take a couple of easy wins against has-beens (Ruiz) or joke champions (Valuev) to impress your own countrymen, but it's going to take a lot more to impress the rest of the world. I'm not picky... if Haye would even fight one of the K bros and put up a courageous fight (like Arreola did) he'd have more of my respect.

This isn't a U.K. vs. U.S. thing, If Haye was American I would have said the same thing.

Awesome comments all around, I especially liked the "you fucking idiot" comment.

Thanks for the positive comments, and for the back up.

"Why should Haye fight James Toney??"
Because he is a real boxer with skill, shot or not, it would have been his biggest name to date he could have fought, he was also a cruiserweight champ, He called Haye out and it would have been a bigger name than Barrett, Your right he should have fought Monte Barrett. He knew he would have lost to Toney and he picked a weaker opponent.

Here we go again..... another anti-Haye article written by an American. Aren't there enough of them out there? Why do we need another one? All dragging up the same facts that we all know, and have read over and over again. We all know he lost to Carl Thompson, I don't need to read that again. It was a ridiculous loss, however, and taught him a valuable lesson. We all know JM Mormeck knocked him down. I don't need to read that again, especially as he then got up and knocked Mormeck out, in his home town, taking his title in the process-a fact you lot convieniently choose to ignore, and which actually says far more about his skill, heart and potential as unified HW champ than any knockdown. As far as the so-called Barrett knockdown goes, watch the fight and show me the punch that put him down. Show me the referee giving Haye a count. These articles are getting desperate now, and you lot are making yourselves sound bitter. Haye has, in only two years, taken a warm up heavyweight fight against Barrett, then gone and won a WORLD TITLE, then defended it. It's damn good progress in such a short time, so to say 'he's ducked this guy or that guy' when he's actually acheived quite a lot in his short time at HW is a ridiculous argument. Why should he fight Toney, Hopkins, Audley Harrison (lol) Chris Arreola? What do they have to offer? Adamek would be a great fight, but at the moment he has nothing to bring to the table. Haye wants world titles, he wants to unify the division, so he's going after the Klits, and deservedly doesn't want to waste his time fighting fat, pathetic slow American boxers who call him out for a payday, especially ones who have already lost to a Klit (Arreola). Does this count as ducking? I don't think so. Did he duck Wlad? I don't know. I do know he didn't duck Vitali though. The deal he was offered was pathetic, and included a DOUBLE REMATCH CLAUSE against both brothers should Haye win. Haye gets a better deal to fight Valuev, takes his title, and in doing so puts himself in a much better position at the negotiating table. Ducking? No. Smart business.
