Steve Cunningham wants to prove his supremacy in the cruiserweight division on Saturday night against Troy Ross. Cunningham is the Ring's number 1 rated crusierweight and would love nothing more then to be crowned their champion. The only problem with that is he has to go through the number 5 rated cruiserweight Troy Ross. Cunningham has beat the number 2 rated crusierweight Krzysztof Wlodarczyk. the number 3 rated Marco Huck, and many former champions. He is definitely the front runner in this match up but Ross is a tough opponent. He has power in both hands, and hasn't lost since 2005. Troy Ross won the 4TH season of The Contender Series. He is very popular in Canada and is fun to watch because of his power. Remember Ross is a southpaw, and they can be tricky. Cunningham is now signed with Sauerland Event, which was a good move. Any time you can get away from Don King it is a good Idea. Cunningham was slated to fight Matt Godfrey the number 10 rated cruiserweight, but King baulked at the TV deal. With that ugliness behind him, and facing a better opponent I think we will see the best Steve Cunningham. If he can beat the power-punching Ross he can set up fight for the Ring title. He is fighting for the vacant IBF title he once held. If he can get it back he will command a ton of attention. When you have a title at cruiserweight you have guys at light heavyweight thinking of moving up yo get your belt. You can also move up like so many others (Holyfeild, Toney, Haye, Tomasz Adamek), in hope of winning the heavyweight title. Everyone wants to see a rematch between him and Tomasz Adamek, the 2008 fight of the year. I wouldn't mind seeing him take the rubber-match against the number 2 ranked cruiser Krzysztof Woldarczyk., to unify the WBC, and IBF titles. Either way, this fight can be a great one, and I'm looking forward to see it.

WAR CUNNINGHAM! He's a problem, Adamek wants no part of a rematch ha.
He has chased Adamek, and Haye out of the division.
Wrong wrong wrong, Adamek said many times that he would fight Cunningham again but HBO and the gang had no interest in a rematch because Cunningham hasn't got a big enough following. Adameks not going to box for free its a business and he needs to get paid. If cunningham wants a rematch he should take the step up to Heavy but he wont because he hasnt got the chin to deal with heavyweight power so he's staying where he knows its safe and wher he can be the top dog. Also I think Wlodarczyk beats Cunningham, He's done it once already and I think he can do it again.
