David Lemieux KO 1 Elvin Ayala TIME: 2:44
David Lemieux runs his record to a perfect 23-0, with last nights 1st round KO. What is even more impressive than his unblemished record, is the fact that he has knocked out 22 of his 23 opponents. Yes it is true that he hasn't faced any big names, but Ayala went 12 rounds with power puncher Arthur Abraham before being knocked out. It only took Lemieux 1 round, to do what Abraham did in 12. I think if he can keep progressing, and fighting tougher competition, he will give people problems. He is not there just yet but in a couple of years he maybe. He set up his devastating left hook with a right last night. He got Ayala to drop his right hand and then he unloaded on him. The crowd at Uniprix Stadium was excited to see there hometown prospect fight last night. Montreal fight fans are some of the best in the world, and they will back their fighters until the end. This is quite evident when watching, Lucian Bute, George St-Pierre, and maybe soon David Lemieux. He seemed very calm, and cool in the ring during the fight. What was more impressive to me is the the way he carried himself after his 1 round destruction of Ayala. He really didn't even smile, and hardly celebrated in front of his hometown crowd. I'm not saying he will be unbeatable, or he can even beat anyone in the middleweight top ten, but I am saying I would like to see him again.

I totally agree with you on this one! Ayala is a nobody, and his days of shining are long gone, He needs to just retire already, he's a poor excuse of a "so called" boxer... lol what a loser! DID YOU SEE THAT FIRST HIT THOUGH!!? and what was even more amusing was the look on Ayalas face! WHAT'S THE SMILE FOR AYALA! YOU JUST GOT KNOCKED DOWN DUMBY!! LOL
