"Batman" Kurt Pellegrino is going to be out for an undetermined period of time due to a torn ACL that was discovered during a surgery to repair a torn meniscus he suffered in his last fight. The fighter raised some eyebrows in the pre-fight press as he stated that he would retire if he lost to George Sotiropoulos. Batman did lose a decision to the up and coming contender but looks like he will remain active whenever his health permits. Pellegrino was losing the contest to Sotiropoulos handily but rallied in the third to knock down his opponent with a brutal knee, but it was too little too late as George survived the onslaught to get W.
