Lesnar Comes Back From The Brink To Submit Carwin

With Fedor losing to Werdum recently the winner of Shane Carwin Vs. Brock Lesnar looks to be the Heavyweight at the number one spot in the rankings and Lesnar is that guy. Carwin landed heavy shots and ground and pound in the first round to batter and bloody the Champion nearly stopping him with shots on the ground. Thankfully the referee was not overzealous and let the action continue. Carwin punched himself out in the first and was completely gassed at the start of the second stanza. That led to a quick takedown by Lesnar and a surprising submission finish via arm triangle choke to cement his spot at the top of the Heavyweight division. Lesnar showed some resiliance and an unusual amount of respect to his opponent after the fight that he came close to losing. Up next for the Champion is Cain Velasquez who brings a better gas tank to the fight than Carwin, but much less power. Velasquez has crisp striking, but will likely not be able to out-wrestle the behemoth Brock Lesnar.
