Mark Hunt Set To Make UFC Debut: Can He Re-Ignite His Career?

Pride FC and K-1 Vet Mark Hunt is supposedly making his UFC debut on the undercard of UFC 119 against undefeated Heavyweight prospect Sean McCorkle according to 5oz. The K-1 Grand Prix Champ and one of the last of the Pride stars to make his UFC debut is on a five fight losing streak thanks to his suspect submission defense, but will look to resurrect his once promising MMA career against a HW who has fought entirely on the smaller shows in the Midwest circuit. McCorkle is 7-0 with 6 KO/TKO wins to his credit, but he has not faced the type of competition that Hunt has in his outstanding kickboxing career and his 5-6 MMA career.

Hunt has the power and striking skill to defeat anyone, and up until Manhoef KO'd him he was thought to be impervious to a KO loss himself. McCorkle is an untested prospect, but obviously has power and hasn't been deep in the fight game like Hunt. It will be interesting to see how it all pans out and if these guys can actually make the 265lb weight limit of Heavyweight.
