Huerta vs. Alvarez Will Happen After All

Roger Huerta has been in the spotlight recently more for his streetfight with a former college football player who KO'd a woman more than he has for his in ring escapades. After Huerta lost to tournament underdog Pat Curran BFC promoters and fans lost hope for a Alvarez-Huerta super fight until the injury Gods visited Pat Curran. With the tournament winner out Huerta steps in to face off with Alvarez in a non-title affair in October.

Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney announced the match last night on the Bellator season opener. Now if only Alvarez were to batter a woman before he stepped inside the cage Huerta would be victorious for sure. In all seriousness it will be a scrap that will test each fighter and interesting to see where Alvarez and Huerta stand in the 155lb division. If Strikeforce's match makers are watching, the winner of this needs to be Gilbert Melendez's next title challenger!
