TOMASZ ADAMEK: POLISH POWER

Tomasz Adamek W 12 Michael Grant SCORES: 117-111, 118-110, 118-111

It seems everyone that is a champion from the cruiserweight division tries their hand at heavyweight. Former crusierweight king Tomasz Adamek is no exception. After a fight of the year with Steve Cunningham in 2009. Successfully defending his IBF title he made the move to heavyweight. In his heavyweight campaign he has defeated Andrew Golota, Jason Estrada, Chris Arreola, and now Michael Grant. Adamek didn't look that hot while beating Grant, but he did it convincingly. He out maneuvered his much bigger American counterpart. However he wasn't without damage in his one sided win. He was clearly dazed on at least a couple occasions. There was a time when the heavyweight division was ruled by normal sized heavyweights. Now it is ruled by GIANTS. The reason that Grant was able to land hard shots was because of his size, and jab. He is not that fast, he is not that powerful. His is big, and can use his size, and jab to land his punches. Adamek will have an even harder time if he wants to fight either of the Klitschkos. He would be better served if he were to fight David Haye, or a smaller heavyweight. I don't think he would do good against Wladimir Klitschko at all. He is much quicker, and has a world class jab. Having said that I would still watch that truly David and Goliath match up. People can say he looked good, but the true fact is he is a winner.
