ROY JONES JR. AND BERNARD HOPKINS STILL SPLIT OVER THE SPLIT

Roy Jones Jr. needs to relax and come back to reality. He says that the public wants to see a fight between him and Bernard Hopkins and he should get a 60/40 split. First off B-Hop dominated the current middleweight champion of the world. Bernard has been fighting and beating top competition where Roy has not. If you compare their last 10 fights you can clearly see that B-Hop has fought greater competition. Roy Jones Jr. is 6 and 4 in his last 10 fights with 2 of those losses coming by way of vicious KO. Bernard on the other hand is 7 and 3 in his last 10 but you can argue that all three of his losses that he actually won. Jones lost decisively in 2 out of 3 against Antonio Tarver where Bernard Hopkins thoroughly dominated Antonio in their only meeting. What happened when they fought Joe Calzaghe? Roy got embarrassed and B-Hop lost but you could argue he squeaked out the win. I have only one name to show you the difference in competition and that is Prince Badi Ajamu. You may be asking yourself who in the hell is Prince Badi Ajamu, and I would tell you if I had a clue. Jones could argue that he has the win in their first match and I would say "come on Roy that was 16 years ago". Everyone knows that fighters are like stocks in the stock market they can rise and they can fall. One loss can hurt your stock and fighting top competition can help raise it. So what if B-Hop doesn't look spectacular when he is winning, his opponents surly don't look good. It doesn't matter how good Jones looked like against Omar Sheika or Jeff Lacy their not top A+ competition. After Bernard beats an opponent they are never the same, he not only beats them in the ring he steals their spirit. As a fan I would like to see that fight if B-Hop couldn't get a bigger one but I would have rather seen it a few years ago. If they do fight Hopkins should get the 60/40 split he has earned it not Roy.
