AMIR KHAN DEFENDS TITLE IN DOMINANT FASHION

Amir Khan made a dominant statement with his first round technical knockout victory over challenger Dmitriy Salita. It was a powerful right hand that marked the beginning of the end for Salita. Amir was fast and just turned on the accelerator and put the it in overdrive and he rolled right over Dmitry. After the first knock down there Khan swarmed him to get another knock down. When he got up it was more of the same which prompted the referee to call a halt to the bout at 1:16 of the first round. He defended his belt with ease against his mandatory challenger and now hopes for bigger fights and bigger paydays. He is young, quick, powerful basically everything you want to see in a future superstar. I hope Salita can rebound and learn form this quick defeat. I'm not totally sold but I wish him nothing but the best and I think he has a bright future ahead of him in the ring.
