HUMBERTO SOTO VS JESUS CHAVEZ : PURO MACHISMO
Forget about the main event match up between middleweight champ Kelly Pavlik and Miguel Espino. Jesus Chavez and Humberto Soto should, what am I saying will steal the show. Who cares if the mainstream doesn't know who these guys are, or that neither of these guys are in the top ten pound for pound list. Even though it is not the main event it should be and it will be the only reason I will be tuning in. Don't think about the records Jesus Chavez ( 44-6-0, 30 KOs) and Humberto Soto ( 49-7-2, 32 KOs) its not important. What is important is that they will with out a doubt as their Mexican heritage suggest both come out to fight. Neither fighter will look to run in this one, it will be right in front of each other all night. The common Mexican pressure style of fighting which has broken many boxers down will surly be on display Saturday night. When there is a fighter putting on pressure in a fight someone has to back up if not you have an explosion. Jesus Chavez and Humberto Soto have fought many great fighters including Floyd Mayweither Jr, Erik Morales, Leavander Johnson (R.I.P.), Michael Katsidis, David Diaz, Julio Diaz, Sirimongkol Singwancha, Joan Guzman, Rocky Juarez, and Kevin Kelley. The key element that is common in all of these match ups is they put up a fight in each and everyone of them. This fight will be no different, they will fight each other until a winner is declared. I promised myself I would not pay to see Kelly Pavlik fight Miguel Espino when he could have fought Paul Williams unless the under card had a great fight. Even though I think Humberto will win it should be an exciting fight and I can't wait to watch. Thanks to Humberto Soto and Jesus Chavez I have a real reason to tune in. These are the fights that are great for boxing and keep old-school, hardcore guys like myself coming back for more.
