SWEET REDEMPTION IN CHICAGO

Saturday night was well earned for Paulie Malignaggi as he finally got the win against Juan Diaz he so rightly deserved. In their first meeting in Huston Paulie got robbed and Juan Diaz got the home town decision. The thing about the decision that was so bad was that Malignaggi predicted it the week before the fight. All that didn't matter Saturday night in Chicago because he won an easy unanimous decision, 116-111 on all three cards. He did what he did in his first fight with Juan but this time it was much easier. He had confidence and it began to grow from round one, he even showboated during the fight. Paulie easily out boxed his counterpart with his jab and footwork. Juan was late and off balance all night and never had a chance to get into the fight because Paulie didn't let him. He is boxing the way that suits him best with movement and his jab. He picked off most of Diaz's punches that were close enough to land. He stunned Juan a few times in the fight and had him in trouble very bad one time in the fight. I was was overjoyed that Paulie got his redemption because the first decision was complete bullshit. This win opens many doors to Paulie now and he should have big fights on the horizon. There are a ton of names in the Jr. Welterweight division, so Paulie shouldn't have trouble getting an opponent. People like to hate on Paulie because he doesn't knock guys out or because he is flashy and like to clown on people. That is him and boxing is an art so if you don't like him just don't hate on him because he is good for boxing.
