Ricky has finally announced that he is making his come back in the sport he loves. U.K. fans are rabid for his return and Americans know he is good for the sport. Ricky took some time off after his 2ND round knockout loss to pound for pound great Manny Pacquiao. He was 40-0 when he stepped up to fight Floyd Mayweather, his first career loss. He will be fighting a champion or a pound for pound ranked boxer. It is said that he is aiming his sites at Juan Urango who he already beat once before. Juan Urango is looking to unify the Jr. welterweight titles on March 3rd against Devon Alexander. If Juan can beat his man and Ricky can win a fight it sets up a action packed fight. Everyone talks about Ricky's weight problems between fights and his love for beer and fried food. Usually the jolly Brit makes fun of his weight problems and love of fried foods and beer but it has upset him as of late. Everyone knows that a life style like that can hurt your boxing career and one day it will catch up with you but I don't think Ricky cares. He is a huge draw in Europe and his U.K. fans always cross the pond to see him fight. I always thought he was overrated and thought he beat an old Kostya Tszyu and Jose Luis Castillio. I knew when he fought top competition he would lose but it is always fun to watch him fight. Having said that people like Joe Calzaghe and Barry McGuigan should keep their mouths shut about Ricky. It is up to the fighter to decide if he wants to continue their career. Calzaghe retired so he wouldn't have to fight the young crop of super middleweights and every one knows he is ducking the B-Hop rematch. Ricky is more man then that and I applaud his decision to return to the ring boxing misses people like you.
