VIC DARCHINYAN WINS AGAIN

Vic Darchinyan W 12 Rodrigo Guerrero SCORE: 118-110, 117-111, 120-108

Vic won a unanimous decsion against Rodrigo Guerrero to retain his WBC, AND WBA 115 lb, bantamweight titles. He is the Ring Magazine's number 1 rated 115 pound fighter and it looks as if he will stay that way. He dished out a ton of punishment on his unknown foe but he lasted until the final bell. Vic even said post fight "I respect how he took my punches. I couldn't believe how he took my punches, I respect him". There were a ton of power punches but no knockdowns in this one. Darchinyan is an exciting fighter to watch because of his unorthodox, power-punching style. He claims he still wants a rematch to fight Nonito Donaire, who he lost to by technical knockout in 2007. He even claims Donaire is afraid of him, to me that is laughable. I'm sure if it is beneficial to Donaire, an he wants those belts bad enough it will happen. Donaire has said recently that he would like to move up and fight either the WBO bantamweight champion Fernando Montiel, or the WBC bantamweight champion Hozumi Hasegawa.
