When 2 fighters fight each other as hard, and as many times as these 2 warriors they will have a bond that will last for ever. In a case like this one the fighter who has taken less punishment, and is able to box a little better usually wins. That is what happened when Gatti fought Ward, and when these 2 fought each other. This fight was not real competitive as the less damaged fight won in a 3 round blow out. Vasquez got a cut over his eye that went to the bone, and you can't have that if you are fighting Marquez. Yes Israel was passed his prime, and didn't have much of a chance to win. As long as he was able to lace his gloves up he had to fight Marquez. If he didn't people would have always talked about why they didn't fight for a 4Th time. More importantly he would have regretted it. These 2 fighters left it all in the ring in the 4 fights they had together. They have been in fights that have changed them forever, and fans will never forget it.
