HBO has a great fight card for boxing fans tonight at the Toyota Center in Houston Texas tonight. First up you have undefeated prospect Danny "The Golden Child" Jacobs who is (17-0) (15 KO's) up against Ishe "Sugar Shay" Smith (21-3) (9 KO's), which should prove to be entertaining. The question you have to ask yourself about this fight is will Ishe Smith who gained his popularity from "The Contender" series just lay down and become a stepping stone for the young and up incoming Jacobs. The fight leading up to the main event should be a good one because it features Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero (24-1-1) (17 KO's), and Malcolm "Stone" Klassen (24-4-2) (15 KO's) for the IBF super featherweight title. Boxers always step it up in title fights and this one should be no different. Then in the main event of the evening we get to see Houston's own Juan "The Baby Bull" Diaz (34-2) (17 KO's) faceing off with Paul "Magic Man"Malignaggi. They both have something to prove because they have lost recently to top opponents, "The Magic Man" lost to Ricky Hatton and "The Baby Bull" lost to Juan Manuel Marquez. This is a classic match up with Diaz a pressure fighter who throws a lot of punches most with power against Malignaggi, a classic slick boxer who likes to give angles and throw his jab. Can Paul use his angles and jab to keep Juan off of him and off balance or will Juan pressure and stay close to grind out a win? The real winners tonight are the fans who will be treated to a great card Saturday night at 9:45pm on HBO.
