In the long awaited "Night of Hooks" Roy proved that he was a the better, quicker, more effective hooker by beating Jeff "Left Hook" Lacy to the punch all night long. The 40 year old Jones took the younger Lacy to school from the opening bell until Lacy's corner threw in the towel in the 10Th. It was a one sided assault with Jones making Lacy look slow and somewhat amateurish. Even at 40 Jones seemed way to quick and all around better then his much younger counterpart. This win doesn't change much he would probably get beaten by the divisions top contenders and champions. He is most step up to face newly crowned cruiserweight champion Danny Green for a shot at the only title in the only division he hasn't won a title. Jones can still do it but for how long, either way it was cool to watch an all time great school a young fighter.
