Nelson vs. Schaub For The TUF 10 Contract

James Mcsweeney stopped Matt Mitrione via guillotine choke to secure his spot in the quarterfinals. Marcus Jones stopped Darrill "Titties" Schoonover via vicious knockout after overwhelming him on the ground. Marcus looks phenomenal on the ground and is a dangerous guy on the mat. Roy Nelson overwhelmed James Mcsweeney on the ground via belly smother until he got James in the crucifix position to pound him out. Marcus Jones is a beast on the ground, but his stand-up is suspect. After getting the take down on Schaub and securing the mount, Schaub was able to buck Jones off to get back to his feet where he landed a big bomb on Jones and followed him to the ground to finish the job.

Promotional Beef Heats up

September 19th is a big night for fight fans as the much anticipated return of Floyd Mayweather Jr goes head to head with UFC 103. The UFC has decided to take a page out of the Affliction playbook and put the undercard for free on cable's Spike TV as a lead in to the Pay-Per-View headlined by Vitor Belfort Vs. Rich Franklin. On the flipside the boxing card promoters have decided to stack the undercard with the rematch of Chris John and Rocky Juarez as well as names Zab Judah and Michael Katsidis. With competition like this it makes no difference who wins out in the ratings because it's the fans who win in the end.

Somebody Shit, I Smelt It!

TUF 7

Awsome start to the show with the tournament format giving us a full hour of fights, and that looks to be the case for the next episode as well. Speaking of the next episode the preview promises the most violent knockout in the history of the show, and the screams from the ambulance were alarming. We also got to see why the middleweight signed by EliteXC was let go from the UFC, he didnt lose the fight, but he bored the shit out of Dana White with a lay and pray victory. this season will be one of the most entertaining with the personalities of Rampage and Forrest you cant go wrong.

UFN 04/02/2008
Great night of fights last night, with a three hour telecast of UFN followed by the middleweight tournament on TUF.

Alexander/Irvin
WOW. We knew this one wasn't going the distance, but 8 seconds are fucking kidding me? the stoppage seemed a bit pre-mature, but on looking at the replay Houston did drop from consciousness for a second, and had it gone any longer he would have no doubt been out.

Diaz/Pellegrino
Look Ma, no hands! A celebration ensued before the tapout when Diaz locked his legs on the triangle he knew it was over.

Hamill/Boetsch
The altitude along with the smothering wrestling ability of The Hammer were too much for his Jeet Kun Do. Boetsch did manage to open a vagina-like cut on Hamill's lip that was flapping in the post fight interview.

Maynard/Edgar
Somebody's O had to go as they say, and it was Edgar's who said bye bye. It "was a good scrap" as Maynard would put it. It went the distance and Maynard's take downs were the difference.

Parisyan/Alves
Ouch! So close the were the title aspirations of KP that if the title shot farted it would've tingled his nose hairs. Alves landed a bomb knee to the button of KP, and followed it up with some GNP to finish him out. Another seemingly quick stoppage in Denver.

Florian/Lauzon
Ben Stiller defeats the Bat Boy! Another good fight to close the night out. The action went both ways likes Jenna Jameson for most of the fight until Ken-Flo got the mount, and that was all she wrote.

Johnson/Speer
Ko of the night for sure. I wasnt expecting much from this match-up mainly because I didnt really know alot about Johnson. Wow, amazing speed and power to boot. Welterweights look out for this guy!

Petition To Air 3 Hours of UFN 13

Big Up Fightlinker!

Here is the letter you should send!

To: feedback@spike.com

Subject: UFC Fight Night 13 on April 2nd

Dear Benevolent Spike TV Executives

How about making UFC Fight Night on April 2nd a three hour show instead of two? I don’t know if you pay attention to stuff like this (you are probably pretty busy finding manswers to all our questions), but the fight card is pretty damn spectacular. I don’t know how ratings work, but I am confident in saying that if you make this show one hour longer, your ratings will quadrouple. Hell, they’ll probably tetracize. This results in more money for you, which you can spend on more James Bond marathons or more golden beds full of hot women. And it will also result in more happiness and joy for us, your loyal MMA watching fan.

So please, make UFC Fight Night on April 2nd a three hour show instead of two. You say that you are a network for men. It is time to prove this claim. Help me Spike TV, you’re my only hope. That was a star wars reference. Sweet.

Sincerely
Insert your name here.
